Project Overview
Project Healing Space is a community-driven initiative developed and overseen by Leadership Greater Huntsville Class 39 (Team Blaze), in partnership with and in support of The Caring House. This project will create an inviting outdoor environment where children and families can find healing, comfort, and connection through nature and play.

Our Mission
The Caring House is the only childhood bereavement program in Madison County, filling a vital need for our schools, hospitals, and community. Operated by Huntsville Hospital, The Caring House provides educational and therapeutic services that help children and families cope with grief and loss. The program is offered at no cost to families, relying solely on donations to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation (HHF) to continue its mission. The impact of these services is immeasurable, helping children navigate some of the hardest moments of their lives with understanding, support, and hope.
Our Purpose
Through Project Healing Space, Leadership Greater Huntsville Class 39 (Team Blaze) seeks to extend The Caring House’s mission beyond its walls. The new outdoor area will feature thoughtfully designed gardens, shaded seating, and interactive play spaces, creating a safe, nurturing environment that encourages reflection, connection, and joy.
Our Commitment
Project Healing Space reflects the compassion, creativity, and community spirit of Leadership Greater Huntsville Class 39 (Team Blaze). By supporting this initiative, donors and partners are helping to build a lasting space where children and families can heal in body, mind, and spirit.
Together, we are creating more than an outdoor space. We are building a place of hope, remembrance, and renewal, a true extension of The Caring House’s mission to heal the hearts of our community.
We invite you to participate in our fundraising events aimed at creating a serene outdoor healing space. Each event offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of The Caring House patients.
